all. Together, we can celebrate their success and encourage even more talented individuals to pursue their dreams.

With heartfelt pride for Sri Lankans everywhere, the Association recently had the joy of welcoming two wonderful Paralympic athletes — Indika Nuwan and Pradeep Somasiri. These inspiring sportspeople brought great honour to Sri Lanka by earning Gold, Silver, and Bronze medals at the Sydney Open, celebrating Sri Lanka’s incredible Paralympic Champions!

Their inspiring stories remind us of just how powerful determination and resilience can be. Let’s keep cheering for these amazing athletes as they continue to inspire us all. Together, we can celebrate their achievements and motivate even more talented individuals to chase their dreams. Championships 2026 is a prestigious international event that will play a vital role in guiding their journey toward the 2028 World Championships.

Their dedication, resilience, and extraordinary talent embody the spirit of Sri Lanka, and the Association is privileged to host them from April 9th to April 12th, immediately following their final event on Saturday, April 11th.

A Celebration of Community and Achievement

To celebrate this special occasion, the Association hosted a delightful luncheon at Ceylonia Restaurant in Parramatta.

Community members gathered with smiles to honour the athletes’ achievements and the Association’s wonderful work. The atmosphere was warm, friendly, and filled with an inspiring sense of Sri Lankan pride. It was truly heartwarming to see so many familiar faces come together and share this joyful moment.

Continuing Legacy of Service

Once again, the Sri Lanka Association of NSW shows its genuine dedication to the community with warmth, kindness, and honesty. Whether it’s through vibrant cultural events or heartfelt support programs, they continually bring Sri Lankans in Sydney closer together, creating a strong, caring community.

A big heartfelt thank you to President Saliya and the entire committee for your amazing service. Your dedication truly lifts our community, helps preserve our rich cultural heritage, and inspires each of us. We genuinely appreciate everything you do.

The Sri Lanka Association of NSW extends its heartfelt appreciation to all members, supporters, and well‑wishers. The Association remains committed to serving the community with enthusiasm, integrity, and a spirit of togetherness.
