The old Anandians Association of Western Australia
The Old Anandians’ Association of Western Australia (OAAWA) is a community of past pupils of Ananda College, Colombo, proudly representing the Ananda spirit in Western Australia. Founded to strengthen fellowship among Anandians living abroad, the association fosters unity, cultural pride, and service through social, educational, and charitable initiatives.
OAAWA regularly hosts community events such as Brothers’ Night, New Year celebrations, family get togethers, and sports activities, providing a platform for Anandians and their families to connect and celebrate shared heritage. Beyond social gatherings, we actively support educational and welfare projects in Sri Lanka and contribute to local community initiatives in Australia.
Our association operates as a not-for-profit incorporated body, driven by volunteer effort and guided by the values of discipline, leadership, and service that define Ananda College. Through our activities, we aim to uphold the school’s proud legacy while inspiring the next generation to
embody the same excellence, compassion, and unity that bind all Anandians worldwide.
