Kalindu Weerasinghe possesses innate music flair of course mainly through hereditary affiliations via his illustrious father Rohana Weerasinghe who is conceivably the highly celebrated musician documented by all Sri Lankans, domiciled in overseas as well.It is steadfastly known that Kalindu’s eight year old son UVI, via hereditary affiliations too has already excelled as drummer playing to the tune of “going home” to precision ensuing music notations. 

After navigating successfully over in completing accountancy degrees at the Monash University in Melbourne Kalindu had commenced his music career concurrently while holding pivotal positions in several state departments in the Australian capital territory ,Canberra particularly at the Department of Social Services.In an nutshell  Kalindu is presently serving as a Business Analyst which is a vastly a well-documented prestigious post, while having held positions as Cyber Security SOC Manager, Employment Online  Services Branch, National Support Office, Centrelink etc. Kalindu’s tenure at Australian Federal Government for a period of virtually four years was a commendable service. Apart from Kalindu’s above involvements he is also following a five year gruelling external course at the RMIT University in Melbourne for a Bachelor of Engineer degree. 

Apart from Kalindu’s professional ranks he is a  writer, composer, producer, Founder/Director of CeyMusic Publishing & Record Label .Though commenced on the path of legendary father, Kalindu as other contemporary youngsters do not prefer to remain stagnant with old-fashioned outdated ideas wish not to deteriorate  in one place, contemplate to place music beyond words. Kalindu as the founder/Director of CeyMusic Publishing & Record label in on an arduous voyage to resolve the current copyright and royalty issues in the music industry prevalent unresolved by any government though the subject was under discussion for decades,The main objective of this excursion is to generate a sustainable atmosphere all musicians alike a sustainable environment for all musicians.  

As a music composer cum director who leads orchestras and musical groups, Kalindu ensures that all musicians play with one coherent sound,  balancing the melody with timing ,rhythm and volume coordinating with section leaders on sound and style. 

As all competent music directors Kalindu too abides by these basics also write and arrange original music with a variety of music styles.  

As a director also known as a conductor of music Kalindu has already directed music for many popular singers like father Rohana Weerasinghe, Karunasena Divulganage,Dyan Witharana.Uresha Ravihari, Amarasiri Pieris.Samitha Mudunkotuwa, Raveen Kanishka,Chandana Liyanarachchi,Dumal Warnakulasuriya,Sunil Edirisinghe , Sankhani Edirisinghe etc.These songs have been recorded under two volumes the latter containing 17 songs some had become hits already. These had been completed during the past few years recorded during his short visits to native Sri Lanka, of course with some assistance from his father.

Kalindu despite his busy schedule as a Business Analyst in the Department of Social Services in Canberra ACT stabilizes his hectic music venture productively also his beloved family for over a decade.His wife is Chalani who is a General medical practitioner (GP) in a private medical practice in Canberra ACT having a daughter and a son.The latter  is already on Kalindu’s musical path.The journey for Kalindu in his official capacity and in music arena has been stupendous. All his well wishes wish him to continue in the same vein perhaps to supersede the illustrious father Rohana Weerasinghe who stands very tall to unprecedented heights  having contributed most to in the annals of Sri Lankan music by leaps and bounds.
