Hell of Borneo | Classic Adventure Film | Fight for Survival | Full Movie English

Classic Film in Full Length: Hell of Borneo – A wealthy mercenary lives in blissful solitude on his private island in the Philippines, until it’s invaded by pirates, mobsters, and smugglers. Hell of Borneo (1967) Director: George Montgomery Writers: Ferde Grofé Jr., George Montgomery Stars: George Montgomery, Julie Gregg, Torin Thatcher Genre: Adventure Country: USA Language: English Also Known As: From Hell to Borneo Release Date: 11 December 1967 Duration: 79min Filming Location: Philippines Storyline: The Island of El Dorado lies between the Philippines and Borneo and is under the jurisdiction of neither. The ownership of the island was granted to an American soldier of fortune named Dirkson after the First World War by the Royal house of Sulu. The ownership of the diversified plantation island would be perpetually owned and ruled by the Dirkson family in a manner similar to the British Brooke family, who founded and ruled the Raj of Sarawak. An international financier named Bellflower (Torin Thatcher) and an Indonesian Prince Ali Akeem (Vic Diaz) seek El Dorado for themselves, with the former offering large amounts of money to the current owner James Dirkson (George Montgomery’s real life brother Jim Montgomery), whilst the latter wishes to seize the island using an army of guerillas and pirates. When the insurgents murder James Dirkson, his brother John, a tough disreputable soldier of fortune (George Montgomery) avenges the murder of his brother and defends his own private island. He also is pursued romantically by Bellflower’s daughter Marjorie (Julie Gregg) and Maria Vargas, the nurse running El Dorado’s infirmary. Reviews: “A movie that shows why George Montgomery was an action star for many years. A very actionful film with several unique aspects. Not a classic, but a fun way to spend 90 minutes. You will not be bored by any means. Somewhat reminiscent of his earlier film HUK.” – Written by montana-4 on IMDb.com Also Known As (AKA): (original title): Hell of Borneo Finland: Kuolema kulkee Borneolla Greece (transliterated title): Thyella sto Borneo India (English title): Hell of Borneo Mexico: Del infierno a Borneo Spain: Del infierno a borneo Sweden: Helvetet i djungeln UK: Hell of Borneo USA (alternative title): From Hell to Borneo USA: Hell of Borneo West Germany (video title): Höllentrip Borneo West Germany: Die Hölle von Borneo
