A Man-Created Warming of Mother Earth. –  By Noor Rahim

NOOR R. RAHIM

Warming of Mother Earth

The devastating ecological changes that humans encounter today

Are just the result of the humans’ avaricious and ambitious weighs

Always throwing caution to the wind and putting it off for another day

Comfort foremost being the mindset without thought to what may lay

In his/her greed for material gains there’s nothing withheld in the foray

The whole World appears to follow this disastrous concept, so to say

In boosting the National Wealth do they indulge and encourage

The exploitation of Mother Natures’ assets to fulfil the National usage

It was in “Nature Studies” we were taught

The results of the ravages on the ecology of the land

Would bring to the humans untold distraught

Summing it: “Man will destroy Nature & Nature will destroy Man”

Does one really think for a moment the felling of these mighty trees

Replaced with saplings/seedlings, overnight, bring it back to normalcy

In the meantime, it has changed the weather pattern of the region

And led to soil erosion with landslides/damage to the ecology of the land

It is in the study of Aviation that one delves into the mechanics of flight

In addition to the theory of flight where is Meteorology to be studied

The requirement of gasoline/fuel to keep the engines working right

The engine temperatures within limits with oil to lubricate and cooled

It opens “Pandora’s Box”; on the effects on the ecology that surrounds

From whence comes the oil and lubricants

We exploit the core of Mother Nature for these purposes

Are we not syphoning off the coolant from the Earth, needs answers

But does anyone really care of these actions

As the World reels in and tumbles into such ecological devastations

With the mind set reeking of “Short Term gains, for Long Term Pains”

For remember, always, “Every action has an equal opposite reaction”

We Homo sapiens always had that lackadaisical outlook in our lives

Keep for tomorrow, what we can do today

It appears that the action that we now lay

Is like that of “Closing the Stable Door, after the horse has bolted”

Its’ time for our dedicated and concerted action “together”

To fight back in the name of conservation

Rather than let our greed & ego get us in its’ tether

And end our dreams of Utopia to end in devastation

– For no accrued wealth off the misuse of Mother Nature is going to save you from the mayhem, that would surely follow.
