The Might of the Pen – By Noor Rahim   “The Pen is mightier than the Sword” is the saying Stifling of the Pen can cause a populace swing But the effect may only be temporary and for political gaining And when truth comes along; lead to populace awakening   The cumulative effect can be far reaching “An Army marches on its’ stomach” is a Napoleonic saying It’s true for an Army as it is for the people’s well being Hence the stomach is the centre of homing   And no doubt an empty stomach will create problems that’s disturbing The Pen is like the “Scale of Justice” that needs “Just” balancing We do not need the Pen to be a “Sword of Damocles” dangling Above the head of a population and threatening   The Pen must in all circumstances be just and well meaning One must remember that a ...

The Aftermath of a recently held Election – 2024. By Noor Rahim The dust seems to commence its’ settling down process in a Tiny Republic in the Indian Ocean. But as has always been the process the Victor does not appear to go “witch-hunting” as was the practice of the previous regimes. Tracing back to the Political ParadeCharade since Independence; the concepts were that of a “self-centred” Uncle, Nephew Regime with a policy of squandering the economic wealth of the country, in following a policy of importing “Elephants & Pins” from abroad – thus helping themselves and their cohorts in business; to flourish at the expense of the local populace. Then came a Socialist Group that was hell-bent on local production & self-sufficiency. Soon to be overthrown after successfully subduing an Insurrection in the country but more so due to the capitalists’ class prevalent in the Uncle/Nephew Party of yore ...

Yet, we have the habit of taking things for granted – Don’t we? The word” Safety” has many meanings in the dictionary. But in the context of human beings it would simply mean “SELF SURVIVAL”. In other words it would mean the “will” of an individual to lead a “normal” and “accident free” life.
