Cameron Green and Cooper Connolly return following injury. Josh Hazlewood also comes back to the side having been managed for the last T20 series against Pakistan before the Test summer.
Pat Cummins, Travis Head and Mitchell Starc will return to Australia following the Test Series in the West Indies. Xavier Bartlett, Jake Fraser-McGurk and Marcus Stoinis miss the squad for this Series.
Australia has won 12 of their past 14 matches as it builds toward next year’s ICC Men’s T20 World Cup in India and Sri Lanka
Chair of Selectors George Bailey said: “We have a busy T20 schedule coming up through this Series, followed by three against South Africa and New Zealand and five matches against India at home as we continue to refine and build a squad we think will be the right fit for the World Cup on the subcontinent.
“There are a number of players outside the squad who can still force their way into the mix for those upcoming Indian Series and through the Big Bash.
“The connection, role development and combinations we will have as options are growing nicely as we build towards the World Cup. It’s an exciting time in our T20 space.”
Cricket Australia sets new records with unprecedented demand for 2025/26 international pre-sale
Cricket Australia has achieved a historic milestone, with its highest ever individual day of ticket sales, selling 311,066 tickets on the first day of international pre-sale.
With more than 322,000 tickets sold across the first two days, demand for the summer is at an all-time high. Yesterday’s unprecedented surge also marks the single highest day of sales in Ticketek’s 45-year history, underscoring the extraordinary anticipation for the upcoming season.
England can expect strong support throughout the NRMA Insurance Ashes Tests this summer, with more than 50,000 pre-sale tickets purchased by UK customers. With more fans securing their tickets via the Cricket Australia Travel Office, the travelling English will make their presence felt this summer.
The unprecedented response has seen ticket sales soar beyond projections, with the NRMA Insurance Ashes series driving the bulk of demand. The initial priority pre-sale allocation for Days 1-3 of the Day-Night Test at The Gabba, Day 1 of the Adelaide Test, Day 1 of the Boxing Day Test and Days 1-3 of the Pink Test at the SCG are now exhausted.
Fans who missed out will still have an opportunity to purchase tickets, with an additional allocation of pre-sale tickets being released this Friday, June 6.
Several match days are selling fast and are also expected to reach capacity for the first pre-sale allocation soon. Among them, the NRMA Insurance West Test Day 1 and Adelaide Test Days 1-3 are experiencing strong demand, with limited availability remaining. The remaining days for the Melbourne, Brisbane, and Sydney Tests have also seen significant interest, with many sections nearing full capacity.
Interest in the men’s white ball series against India has also been strong, with the Sydney ODI and the Melbourne and Canberra T20Is selling fast, as fans eagerly secure seats for these highly anticipated encounters.
Joel Morrison, Executive General Manager of Events & Operations at Cricket Australia, said:
“We have never seen anything like this in Australian cricket history.
“A huge thank you to fans for their incredible passion for the game. Their overwhelming response to this pre-sale reaffirms international cricket’s standing as a leading live sporting experience.
“With demand at record levels, we encourage fans to secure their tickets early so they don’t miss out on summer’s biggest event.”
