Che Guevara-the Revolutionary turned Peacemaker – by Oscar E V Fernando

Che Guevara-the Revolutionary turned Peacemaker – by Oscar E V Fernando

Che Guevara, a Marxist from Argentina was a person endeared to the rural poor but later was executed for expressing views on the down trodden; he is a paradox as some hated him for his violent ways and he was depicted with a Gun and some adored him for his empathy with the poor and they depicted him with the Rose Flower and Peace Dove; he was later called Gandhi of Cuba.

Opinions can change a person and also, change the world-but an opinion is defined as a view held as probable; need a probability end up in fisticuff leading to war?

A clear example is a clash of opinions between Capitalism and Communism-neither party arguing on this subject can provide a perfect solution to the vexed problem of improving the economy of the country-it may only end in war as Russia and Ukraine clearly show.

An opinion should be used to humbly learn from each other and not to stick to your own opinion egoistically; have we not repeatedly seen this drama through and through from World War one to the present imminent War.

Is it worth shedding this red blood for a Revolution-Battle or War-sacrificing youth to break their skull bone and leg?

Our country seems to be going through a lucky streak in that we have a mix of youthful members on board who will penetrate all stagnant opinion clashes, to bring out the best for the economy; all divisive forces must be silenced on their own or by coercive means with that little bit of totalitarianism-ingrained in these youthful rulers.

It is apt to state that Che Guevara and Pope Francis had a close affinity in that both were Argentinians and both had a common goal of serving the poor and needy-however while the pope said much about closing the gap between the rich and the poor he never discouraged controlled private enterprise-while Che was a strong Marxist it has to be said that now if he lived he may have followed Russia and China now embracing controlled private enterprise.

Our youthful government that followed Che Guevara’s path should also see the turn he made.
