Chinthaka Gamlath has had his entire education at the Dharmapala Vidyalaya Panniptiya where he had excelled particularly in art. From young days he had shown aptitude to music had participated as a vocalist in many bands, hence has had the opportunity in appearing in many musical programs I many television channels.Chinthaka had excelled in sports having taken part in Athletics and a school leader. Since leaving school Chinthaka is a staunch member of the School old boys association appointed the Editor of the school media Forum.When one reads through the credits of a television program one would view various producer titles : executive producer, supervising producer, senior producer ,broadcast producer and producer where every producer bears and carries different accountabilities. There are producers with endurance and perseverance. One such television producer with immense knowledge through elaborate study of the subject is Chinthaka Dilanga Gamlath initially at TV Derana to which channel he had already produced a number of innovative original programs with new concepts which many others had never even thought of which have been extremely severe and popular to make the channel successful in a very challenging and demanding industry. Similar to most producers Chinthaka has a natural inquisitiveness about what mass audiences prefer to choose . During the tenure of over a decade at TV Derana television had been responsible for producing many innovative musical programs hailed by viewers as ‘Ma Novena Mama’, ‘Leya saha Laya’, ’Derana battle of the bands-Reality’,’ Mathaka 15’.’Christmas with Perera’s’,’Waya gaya Waya’,Dell studio 2015 season 1,Dell studio 2017 season 2 Sinhagiri studios 2017 where songs of many popular vocalists were rerecorded with new music compositions by musician Mahesh Denipitiya and his able band. In Raigam Tele Awards TV Derana received a hat-trick of awards for the best television music program award. Chinthaka had been instrumental for organizing all TV Derana outdoor musical shows.
At the state television awards in years 2015 and 2016 He was awarded the best music program conducted in Dell Studio.At Raigam Tele awards 2017 Chinthaka won the award for the best music program at Singhagiri studio.Again completing a hat-trick of awards at Sumathi Awards in years 2015/2016/2020 for the best music program at Dell Studio.
As producer of many programs Chinthaka is responsible for making business and financial decisions including raising money for the project hiring director, presenter, musical band, crews. It is his responsibility to approve any significant changes to the project.The producer has to take the initiative in the event of a problem to solve or a question to answer.
In the above context Chinthaka has excelled in his role as a program producer by creating new programs in his own inimitable style with his analytical skills. The responsibilities of assigning tasks, delegating, flexibility, planning to precision and prioritizing were under his authority . In the context of the above Chinthaka Gamage has contributed immensely for television channel TV Derana which is genuinely unprecedented.
The above deeds and exceptional talent was revealed to tall unprecedented elevations by the management of Hiru television the first digitally enabled high definition TV channel with island wide coverage who had approached him to offer the post of General Manager Production at Hiru TV Asian Broadcasting corporation Pvt Ltd Chinthaka before long with his deep aptitude and interest was into occupational resonance commenced to produce new programs which were never thought by others. This program commenced on the 25th October 2024 ,the participants were Punsiri Soysa, Namal Udugama and Ruwan Hettiarachchi.In the subsequent programs many artistes like Keethi Pasquel, Sanka Dineth,Rookantha, Chandralekha, Dimanka Wellalage,Amal Perera,Edward Jayakody, Chandana Liyanaarachchi, Harshana Dissanayake.In all programs Chinthaka made it a point to invite two stalwarts with somewhat of a novice which makes each program fruitful.
Another exclusive innovative program Chinthaka fabricated to Hiru TV was JAANA (Genes) where two from same family are invited like Asanga/ Asantha, Samitha/Kavindya, Ranil/ Pavan,Amal/Nadeemal and Ishak presented by another maestro personality Sajitha Anthony where in this program in addition to singing songs relates their history as to their family background and other details not known to many.Chinthaka after his appointment to Hiru TV as General Manager Production had improved on the existing television programs of the channel.Some other programs are the Happy Hour where two artistes are invited to chat with Yureni Noshika, Uduwap Gee, Tharu daruwa. Hiru Senehase Naththal, through which the presence of Chinthaka Dilaga Gamlath had propelled the Hiru TV channel( Asia broadcasting Corporation Pvt ltd to unprecedented tall elevations.
