Get involved in Multicultural Health Week 2026

Physical activity is a simple and effective way to support mental health and wellbeing at every age. Whether it is a walk with friends, dancing, gardening, playing sport or simply moving more throughout the day, regular physical activity can help improve sleep, boost energy levels, strengthen confidence, and reduce stress.

We invite individuals, organisations, schools, workplaces and communities across New South Wales to celebrate Multicultural Health Week.

Together, we can improve our mental health and wellbeing through physical activity and encourage healthier, more connected communities for everyone.

This Multicultural Health Week (31 August to 6 September 2026), there are many ways to get involved:

Communications toolkit is available now: Share the campaign in your language

  • Download the Communications toolkit that includes multilingual posters, social media tiles, and digital assets.
  • Share the posters and social media tiles onto your communications channels with your community.

Host an event

  • Organise an activity in your community, workplace or school using our Event toolkit.
  • Whether it is a group walk, wellbeing session, community dance activity, health information session or workplace challenge, every event helps amplify the key messages. Look for an event near you.

Share a story

  • Read community stories to get inspirations about what you can do to support your mental health and wellbeing.
  • Has physical activity helped you or a loved one feel less stressed, worried or low in mood? We’d love to hear from you: Submit your story.

Attend the launch event

  • Join us at the official launch in person. Register by Friday, 21 August. (Limited seats)

Ready to learn more? Visit the Multicultural Health Week 2026 website, available in six languages, to access resources, event information and opportunities.
