High Tide – by Charmaine Candappa
Off the high tide
Broken sand dollar shells, slimy sea weeds of green Moon snail shell homes left long ago.
Heron tracks in the wet sand
Molten crab shells, and an old clamshell remain.
Sparkling bits of sea glass, teal green, amber, frosted brown, and elusive blue Shimmering in wet glow.
A wispy grey feather floats by of the high tide While puffy clouds sail in the sky.
