HPL Handed Over 6 Million Worth of Hotwater Bathing Complex to Its Employees-By Nisal Rukshan
As a leading organization that considers welfare, empowerment, and sustainable agricultural practices, Hatton Plantations PLC initiated another exemplary welfare programme for its employees last Tuesday (7).
The organization handed over the newly built hot water bathing facility complex to its employees in Waltrim Estate, Lindula. This facility allows 12 individuals to have a hot water bath at a time.
The newly built bathing facility center is designed to protect privacy and fulfil other sanitary needs of men and women separately.
“As a planter, this was my dream: to facilitate hot water baths for the golden hands behind the tea plantation of Sri Lanka. This will showcase how much we are concerned about human needs by avoiding feudalistic traditional mentality,” said Mr Menaka Athukorala, Managing Director & CEO of Hatton Plantations PLC at the inauguration ceremony, accompanied by Mr Garry Seaton ,Chairman of G&G group of companies.
The project cost 6 million Sri Lankan rupees and was financially supported by Unilever, Rainforest Alliance, and the Fairtrade Organization.
Deputy CEO of Hatton Plantations, Rainforest Alliance country representatives, Unilever CT factory team, management of Waltrim Estate, and employees of Hatton Plantations Estates attended the venue.
වතු ජනතාවට මිලියන 06 ක උණුසුම් දිය නෑමේ පහසුකම් සංකීර්ණයක්
ශ්රීලාංකිය වැවිලි කර්මාන්තයෙහි නව පරිචයක් එක් කරමින් හැටන් වැවිලි සමාගම විසින් රුපියල් මිලියන හයක් වැය කරමින් වතු ක්ෂේත්රයේ මෙහෙවර කරනුලබන තම ප්රජාව සදහා ලිදුල -වෝල්ට්රිම් වතුයායේ ගොඩනගන ලද උණුසුම් දිය නෑමේ සහ සෞඛ්යාරක්ෂිත සනීපාරක්ෂක පහසුකම් සහිතවූ නව ගොඩනැගිල්ල පසුගිය සදුදා (6) එම ප්රජාව වෙත ලබාදෙන ලදි.
මෙම ගොඩනැගිල්ල එක් වරකට පුද්ගලයන් 12 දෙනෙකුට පහසුකම් ලබාගත හැකි ලෙස නානකාමර සහිතව ගොඩනගා ඇති අතර අතර,එහිදී කාන්තා සහ පුරුෂ යන දෙපාර්ශවයටම මෙම පහසුකම් දිනයේ ඕනෑම අවස්තාවක භාවිත කිරීමේ හැකියාව ඇත.
යුනිලීවර් ආයතනය සහ රේන් ෆොරෙස්ට් අලායන්ස් ආයතන මෙමෙ වියාපෘතිය සදහා මූල්ය සවිය ලබාදීම සිදුකරන ලදි.
මෙම අවස්තාවට ජී ඇන්ඩ් ජී සමූහ වියාපාරයේ සභාපති ගැරී සීටන් ,හැටන් වැවිලි සමාගමේ ප්රධාන විධායක නිලධාරී මේනක අතුකෝරළ ,හැටන් වැවිලි සමාගමේ නියෝජ්යය විධායක නිලධාරී සහ මූල්යමය අනුග්රාහකයන් නියෝජයනය කරමින් මහත්වරුන් රැසක් මෙම ව්යාපෘතිය ජනසතුකිරීමේ අවස්ථාව සදහා සභාගිවූහ.
වැවිලිකරුවෙකු ලෙස මාහට අද දිනය තරම් සතුටුවියහැකි තවත් නොමැත.මෙම වයාපෘතිය මගේ සිහිනයක් සැබෑවීමක් ලෙස පෙන්වාදීමට පුලුවන්,මන්දයත් ශ්රීලාංකිය තේ නිපැයුමේ ස්වර්ණමය දෑත් හිමිකරුවනට සාම්ප්රදායික රටාවෙන් මිදී නන් අයුරුන් සහය වන්නට සවියක්වන්නට මෙයින් මනා පිටුවහලක් ලැබේයයි මා විශ්වාස කරනවා.එමෙන්ම මෙ ආකරයේ තවත් වියාපෘති ආරම්භ කිරීමට අප සැලසුම් කරගෙන සිටින බව , මෙම අවස්ථාවට සහභාගීවූ,හැටන් වැවිලි සමාගමේ ප්රධාන විධායක නිලධාරී පැමිණිසිටි පිරිස අමතමින් ප්රකාශ කරනලදි.
