The Kumbabishekam (religious festival) of Kotahena Sri Sri Radha Krishna Temple is expected to be held in the middle of 2023.

The devotees are praying to the God to shower his blessings on the country and people to fulfil their desires. The new temple that’s being built is designed so that the structure will have links to both New Chetty and Jampettah streets.

In the Moolasthanam of the temple, the murtis of Lord Krishna’s images of the incarnations are placed.

The Designer of this temple Visvasree Sandanakumar Sthapahi expressed his thoughts as follows- “The entrance tower (Gopuram) is developed to a height of 61 feet. The tower will have seven shrine units and all plans are finalised. The painting work is also completed.

The temple’s main tower and entrance can be accessed through New Chetty Street.

All are welcome to enter the temple through Jampettah Street on days they wish to participate in prayers. It must be mentioned here that some work remains without being finalised. After the Kumbabishekam it will be possible.
The request of the people to resume the annual Jagannath Rathayatra will be fulfilled following the Kumbabishekam. The followers of Sri Sri Radha krishna Temple carry hope of brightness and happiness for the country with the blessings of the Lord.
