LCC MEDIA RELEASE: Liverpool’s childcare centres exceed all expectations

Liverpool City Council’s childcare centres have all been rated as “exceeding expectations” by the national regulator.

The Early Learning Commission’s recent rating of Cecil Hills Early Education and Care Centre as Exceeding the National Quality Standard across all assessed areas capped off a clean sweep for Council, with every one of its eight Early Education and Care services now having the highest possible rating.

Mayor Mannoun said the outcome sends a clear message to families about the early childcare sector.

“This reinforces that parents can have absolute confidence in choosing a Liverpool City Council service for their children,” he said.

“To have every one of our services rated at “Exceeding”, and to have sustained that across three consecutive assessment cycles is an extraordinary achievement and a testament to the passion and professionalism of our teams.

“We are delivering the highest standard of care and education, and we are proud to be setting the benchmark for the sector.”

Assessors praised Cecil Hills for its exemplary practices and strong commitment to improving outcomes for children, families and the wider community, while recent compliance visits across other Council services also highlighted consistent adherence to the National Quality Framework.

Mayor Mannoun said the results reflect a strong culture of leadership and continuous improvement.

“These outcomes don’t happen by chance: they are driven by strong leadership, clear standards and a shared commitment to delivering the very best for our community,” Mayor Mannoun said.

“Councils in NSW have consistently demonstrated a strong record of providing safe and more affordable services for families,” he said.

With all services now rated as “Exceeding”, Liverpool City Council has firmly positioned itself as a leader in early childhood education and as a provider families can trust, Mayor Mannoun said.
