This year’s celebration of Multicultural Queensland Month is about bringing people together through food, music, art, sport and community events. Across the state, everyone is invited to connect and celebrate the many cultures and communities that contribute to our way of life.
Queensland is a vibrant mosaic of people from over 220 countries who speak more than 180 languages. Multicultural Queensland Month honours this rich tapestry. It reminds us that our state is stronger when we embrace different
traditions and life experiences. Through local festivals, school projects, and community gatherings, residents share food, art, and personal migration stories.
These events break down barriers and foster deep empathy. By celebrating our unique backgrounds, we reinforce a shared sense of home and mutual respect. Ultimately, the month is a powerful reminder that unity does not mean uniformity; rather, Queensland thrives because our diverse communities learn from one another and grow together
in harmony
