Nathan Ephraums
Nathan Ephraums (hockey) will be the youngest member of the Kookaburras’ squad when he makes his Commonwealth Games debut in Birmingham, just over a month after turning 23. Nephy’s hockey skills were apparent when he was selected for the firsts hockey team at Haileybury College in Melbourne when he was in year 7 – making him the youngest on the team by quite a gap. In the under-13 and under-15 age groups, the young striker was playing in both indoor and outdoor Victorian teams. He was included in the Australian Futures squad in 2015 before moving on to the Australian under-21 team in 2017 and 2018. He made his Kookaburras debut against Great Britain in Sydney in February 2020. Nathan is studying social work at the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology.
