Painting is Laknath’s (Lucki’s) greatest passion and creating a painting from a blank canvas and bringing the canvas to life gives him an immense satisfaction.
In all his paintings he wants to express what he sees and use bold colours, different textures and brush strokes to create a breath taking and stunning painting.
Lucki’s latest theme called “vibrant London” displays the feel, colours, moods and life that makes this world famous city vibrant. He loves travelling the streets of London at dusk sketching and photographing to capture the busy and bustling atmosphere that helps him to visualise his next painting.
Lucki is a self taught artist and have been painting and drawing since my childhood. After finishing college, he worked as an apprentice in a printing company and qualified myself from Watford College of Printing, London. Thereafter I worked in the printing and packaging industry, in Asia and the Middle East.
He was drawn back to art while I was studying for my MBA at Newcastle Business School, Newcastle in 2005.
Lucki has a particular passion for painting elephants and other wildlife merely to illustrate and create the atmosphere and feel of wildlife in its natural habitat. He has sold his collection to private collectors as far as Australia and other areas of South East Asia. Lucki works mainly with oils and acrylics.
From painting wild life Lucki moved on to painting cityscapes, as he loves to go to the West End especially at dusk and to sketch and photograph the busy streets and buildings, he did a series of paintings titled “Vibrant London” .
After doing intense research, Lucki developed his own style by creating a variety of impressions to express movement and the illusion of depth that layering of paint can produce, allowing me the freedom to express inner thoughts and emotions rather than creating a simple representation of the real world.
