Royston D’Abrera (an Old Peterite) was honoured on Australia Day with the award of Fairfield Citizen of the Year
The Fairfield City Australia Day Community Award are presented annually to local citizens who have made outstanding contributions to the community.
Royston D’Abrera has been awarded Fairfield City community’s top Australia Day honour, being named the 2025 Fairfield City Citizen of The Year!
Fairfield City Mayor Frank Carbone presented four major awards in various categories to outstanding community members at the annual Australia Day Community Awards ceremony today at Aquatopia at Prairiewood Leisure Centre.
The winners were:
- Royston D’Abrera – Fairfield Citizen of The Year;
- Tevin Luu – Young Citizen of The Year;
- Anna Froio – Volunteer of The Year; and
- Savannah Leal – Sports Achiever of the Year
