Shamitha Dhananjani Liyanage born in November 1999 is the youngest of three siblings elder sister is a dance teacher, elder brother a civil engineer but has opted to lecture in applied, combined mathematics, conducting own classes, father had been a controller at customs, mother a typical housewife.Shamitha is a graduate of the Visual and Performing Arts university passed out in this January having followed a four year strenuous four year course in audio engineering in music production, involving creative manipulation of sound, spanning recording, mixing and mastering for music, in live performance .The progression syndicates technical skills with artistic vision to enhance sound quality and deliver immersive auditory experiences. Key aspects of audio engineering rotates around studio recording, mixing, mastering, live sound, post production and finally advertising.
After passing out she could have joined as a music teacher in a school but unfortunately she is not keen to teach has confessed by her however she will consider the teaching profession at least for a short duration later on.
Shamitha has been educated initially after the kindergarten from year one to five at the Dekatana primary school then up to grade ten at the Dompe Maha Vidyalaya then for her advanced level at the Gampaha Ratnavali Balika Vidyalaya from where she triumphed as her preference to enter the university of visual and performing arts where she excelled in her selected .audio engineering which was applied music song production like computer music .Shamitha has developed her university skills to benefit by developing her own studio at her dwelling whare she possess the advantage to record her own ‘song covers’. Shamitha has already recorded two duet song videos while a song scripted and composed by musician Priyath Rajapaksa is to be completed and released in a video very shortly.
Shamitha is multitalented versatile personality has a knack for fashion, sans hereditary affiliations has seriously commenced fashion designing has already a sought after by many. She had sung live many songs on the just concluded Derana Dream Star season 12 gruelling contest in which she was one of the forerunners for the crown, as it is determined by SMS’s she was eliminated though she was an audience desired favourite ..The abundant songs selected in diverse genres was accepted and applauded and loved by all audiences, spectators and onlookers. All will remember that all her attires worn my Shamitha were diverse, assorted and exceptional which were admired by onlookers which added glamour to her singing aptitudes. Some of the songs ideally selected and sung were ‘sumihiri pane’, ‘kanda suridine’, ‘gedera hitiya rosa’ ,’dasa baladari’, ‘duras wennata’, ‘tatiya medda’,’me tharam siyumalida’, ‘nele genumata’, etc also she sang a number of duets with the ultimate runner up Anupama Gunatilleke superbly to entertain all audiences.. After she sand the song ;Gedera Hitiya Rosa; the judge added that from her peculiar attire he knew she was to sing a fast number so relaxed which was a varied melody of music king Premasiri Premadasa.
In the fashion designing arena Shamitha is the sole individual in the singing arena who design costumes for many artistes including to many members of bands In this manner Shamitha is becoming sought after her impressive talent in designing costumes with diverse styles. Shamitha is now well known as a fashion designer having a popular Facebook page under her name is now a professional in this field..

Shamitha for her singing Prowess has been invited by the Director of the teledrama Sihina Warsha, Jagath Ratnayake telecast on ITN to sing All female vocal songs . She is still very young already shown her prowess will soon rise to the pinnacle of fame, all her followers and fans would wish in her journey already bloomed.
