SLANSW Flood and Landslide Appeal

Dear All,

At a time when all of us with a Sri Lankan background turn our eyes towards the calamity unfolding in our country of origin, the Sri Lanka Association of NSW would like to rally up those willing hearts to extend a helping hand to the needs of our motherland. We are launching an appeal which comprises of two phases.

The first Phase – will concentrate on providing immediate relief measures to the the hospital in Aranayake to care for the injured that are coming through. We have already made contact with Aranayake hospital and identified specific requirements. Further to this we will be utilising a reputable agent in Sri Lanka who will assist SLA NSW to ensure specific items required are purchased for this cause and distributed within he hospital.

The second phase – will include providing assistance to rebuild schools that were affected by the floods and the landslide and providing sanitation. Timing of this phase will be post execution of Phase-1.
