Gathering together each month, these Sri Lankan seniors infuse the Sydney community with warmth, laughter, and a vibrant sense of togetherness. Their regular meetings are not just social occasions—they are celebrations of heritage, friendship, and well-being. The joy they share is evident in their smiles and lively conversations, proving that staying active in later years nurtures not only the body but also the soul, heart, and mind. Watching them connect, reminisce, and support one another is a testament to the enduring spirit and invaluable contribution of seniors to our multicultural society.
Staying active is so important for seniors, both for their health and a longer life. In Sydney, Sri Lankans, through the Sinhalese Cultural Forum, lovingly organise these fun monthly gatherings. Nihal Rupasinghe and many dedicated others are the energising spirits behind these wonderful activities for our seniors.
