Unbeaten St Peter’s College OBU NSW stormed into the semifinals of the 2025 Sri Lankan T10 inter-school cricket tournament after dominating performances on Sunday, 12th January.

In the semifinals to be played on Sunday 16 February, the Petes will face traditional rivals St Joseph’s while Colombo Hindu face Maliyadeva.

The Peterites, ably led by Trevine Nicholas, topped Group B outclassing Maliyadeva, Combined Schools, and Royal in the truncated event at Kareela Reserve, Doonside.

The Peterites were strong in their batting, bowling, and fielding departments throughout their first round matches. The Blue, White and Golds started off on the perfect note, beating Maliyadeva by 21 runs in their eight-over game.

Overnight rains forced the organisers, Sri Lanka Lions Sports Club NSW, to reduce each innings to eight overs, before a heavy downpour after 3pm prevented the semifinals and final from taking place. Colombo Hindu College and St Joseph’s College advanced to the semifinals from Group A, which also included Prince of Wales and Wesley colleges.
