Thadus Group Recognised Among Queensland’s Top Young Achievers Following Strong Community Support

Thadus Group has expressed its sincere gratitude to the Sri Lankan community and eLanka for their continued support throughout its 7NEWS Young Achiever Awards campaign, following a remarkable achievement at this year’s Queensland Young Achiever Awards.
The organisation acknowledged the overwhelming encouragement it received from the Sri Lankan community, which played a significant role in its success during the public voting campaign. Thanks to this outstanding support, Thadus Group received *482 public votes, securing a place among the **Top 5 finalists across Queensland* in the prestigious *People’s Choice Award* category.
In addition to this achievement, Thadus Group was also recognised as a *Top 5 Finalist in the Connecting Communities Award*, honouring its ongoing efforts to expand access to digital education and computer science opportunities for rural communities in Sri Lanka and around the world.
Founded and led by a team of Year 12 students from diverse migrant backgrounds, Thadus Group continues to demonstrate how young Australians can use innovation, education, and technology to create meaningful social impact. The team credits Australia for providing the opportunities to pursue their ambitions while remaining committed to giving back to communities both locally and internationally.
Building on this momentum, Thadus Group is now exploring new partnerships across *South East Asia and Sri Lanka* as it continues to expand access to quality computer science education for young people, particularly those in underserved rural communities.
The team also extended its appreciation to eLanka for helping share its journey with the global Sri Lankan community and for supporting its mission throughout the awards campaign.
