After her graduation Tharushi was attached full time for six months at Advocate Institute which is an independent policy think tank which conducts research to promote sound public policy ideas for a freer and more prosperous country.
Tharushi was a bright student at Visakha Vidyalaya ,Colombo 04 having participated in many extra-curricular activities was a student from year 2003 up to August 2016 having triumphed in the university entrance examination flawlessly.

Additionally, she has expanded her recognition in public pitching events; notably, having delivered a 60-second pitch on body confidence and self-empowerment, which placed her among the top 20 finalists. In her 60 seconds pitch on body she said only 4 percent of women in the world supposedly are deemed to be beautiful. She knew as she grew she will not attain the supreme of beauty standard, She added that people need to be happy about there own bodies and be comfortable not deliberate on greener impending.
She had also won first place in WinFest Season 01, highlighting her entrepreneurial and communicative abilities.This is totally pitching ones business ideas , passions, body confidence, how others want to love their bodies or anything that comes to one’s mind. It was not an easy journey after selecting top 20 were asked to come for a workshop at strategy institute.She was able to beat all nineteen finalists.
Tharushi is super privileged to be in one of the top two teams as a novice to News First at the quiz competition organized by the Capital Maharaja Group of companies She regrets unfortunately could not become the winner. but said the experience for a newbie like her was huge.
