The Harvest | Wrapping up the Community CookOff!
OzHarvest’s reimagined flagship fundraiser The Community CookOff has raised a whopping $2.65million that will help us deliver over 5 million meals!
OzHarvest’s amazing chef friends opened their kitchens and hearts to make the magic happen. Across Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne, teams created 2,000 gourmet meals which were delivered directly to our charity network who help feed those in need. Our drivers were thrilled to receive the five-star reviews, with many saying it was the best food they had ever eaten.
Thank you to the 132 amazing participants from leading Australian businesses who rolled up their sleeves to chop, mash, mix, roast and stir for purpose and impact. We’ll be back next year for another incredible CookOff, so stay tuned for details!

Giving Day is Coming
We are excited to share OzHarvest’s first ever Giving Day on June 30! On this special day, donations will be matched by our generous Giving Day partners to double your impact. That means for every $1 donated on June 30, OzHarvest can deliver 4 meals to people in need (while funds remain). Look out for more details in the coming weeks.
OzHarvest Education in the Community
FEAST is celebrating 500 primary schools now delivering the program – that’s 35,000 future change-makers inspired to waste less and eat healthily! The team were in action at Melbourne’s Little Food Festival with a full FEAST cooking demo helped by students from Doveton College and Mt Eliza Primary School.
Nourish graduations are coming up in June and July and the arrival of Youth Workers in Sydney, Adelaide and Newcastle will provide new support to students to help them thrive.
NEST’s cost saving tips have been highlighted with the rising cost of living – Program Manager, Nicole Constable shared her insights live on ABC Breakfast TV. Meanwhile, ladies from the Girls & Boys Brigade charity joined the first NEST sessions hosted at Refettorio OzHarvest Sydney (pictured above).

We were thrilled to welcome bp Australia President, Frédéric Baudry who joined OzHarvest CEO, Ronni Kahn on the road with OzHarvest Melbourne to see food rescue first-hand. He summed up the impact of his day and our wonderful partnership with bp.

BioPak have been providing their sustainable, environmentally friendly packaging to OzHarvest for many years, but this month they officially joined the family as a national partner. Their ongoing support allows us to deliver meals cooked with love in compostable packaging – helping to care for people and planet.
A huge thank you to our partners JCDecaux for amplifying OzHarvest’s message across Australia! The team have generously donated outdoor media across NSW, Queensland and Victoria, with a splash of yellow and call to donate to ensure we continue to get good food to those in need.
