The National Selection Panel (NSP) has today announced the men’s squad for the Qantas ODI Tours of Zimbabwe and South Africa

Australia plays six ODIs in Zimbabwe and South Africa later this month.
The NSP also named Australia A squads for a tour of India. Australia A plays two four-day matches and three one-day games against India A in Puducherry.
A squad for the Test series in South Africa in October will be announced in the coming weeks.

Mitchell Marsh, Travis Head and Josh Hazlewood return to the ODI squad from the most recent series in Pakistan and Bangladesh. Marnus Labuschagne was not selected as one of five players missing from the most recent ODI squad which played Bangladesh.
Young batter Oliver Peake and allrounder Joel Davies have been chosen after impressing in their international debuts on the recent Pakistan and Bangladesh tours.
Fast bowlers Pat Cummins and Mitchell Starc will join for the South African leg of the tour ahead of a three match Test Series.
Chair of Selectors George Bailey said: “This six-game series is an important lead-in to next year’s World Cup, being played in the same countries, for the group.
“As such it’s great to have Mitch (Marsh), Travis and Josh returning, then Pat and Mitch (Starc) for the SA leg. This gives us our core of players mixed with some we think will continue to make an impression.
“For Ollie and Joel, who we rate very highly, it’s another fantastic opportunity and a further chance for them to continue their exposure and growth in the Australian team.”
The NSP also named squads for the Australia A tour of India.

Of the Australia A squads, Bailey added: “We are excited by these squads and what they might achieve out of the series. Many of these players have played international cricket, whilst for others it’s a continuation of previous opportunities across Australia A and CAXI formats.
“We consider these tours an important part of performance and developing game styles in sub-continent conditions as part of our continued investment into the Australia A program.
“It’s a strong representation of players who will be in contention to be part of the group we take to India next year or see as having potential for further opportunities into the future.”
