Western Whiskey signed into the Melbourne dance scene with a promising selection of Country music that had an estatic sold out crowd revelling at a new experience and a new band to look forward to in the entertainment calendar. Mentored by ‘Country King’ Esric Jackson, the band delivered in many expectations and are sure to be featured in future dance gigs, mainly in the Sri Lankan dance scene. Famous event promoter Bertie Ekanaike who took in the action was impressed with the set-up and endorsed his views on their continued involvement in the gigs ahead. It was a successful night organised with the popular Walawwa headed by Shehan Wijewardena and Nash Samarakoon with newly installed Manager Desmond Foulstone whose input appears to be navigating the venue to greater heights. The diverse format the venue is currently projecting appears to be paying off with a clamour to ‘be there’ at this popular place to be. The smorgasbord dinner was absolutely scrumptious and with the Country theme a resounding success, the events ahead appears to be promising.
