We couldn’t be prouder or more grateful of the Sri Lankan community’s continued support of our company and initiative. To all rural Sri Lankan youth, we will continue fighting for you and serving your communities. The age of a digital Sri Lankan is here.” – Neth Dharmasiri, Co-Founder, Thadus Group

On behalf of everyone at Thadus Group, I wanted to sincerely thank you for your continued support and for helping share our story with the Sri Lankan community through eLanka. Your encouragement throughout our 7NEWS Young Achiever Awards campaign meant a great deal to our team.
We’re incredibly grateful for the overwhelming support we received. Thanks in large part to the Sri Lankan community, we received 482 public votes, finishing in the Top 5 across Queensland in the People’s Choice Award. We were also honoured to be recognised as a Top 5 Finalist in the Connecting Communities Award, acknowledging our work expanding access to digital education for rural communities in Sri Lanka and around the world.
As a team of Year 12 students from migrant backgrounds, this recognition means so much to us. Australia has given us the opportunity to pursue our ambitions, and we’re proud to be using that opportunity to create meaningful impact both locally and internationally. We are currently exploring further partnerships across South East Asia and Sri Lanka as we continue expanding access to computer science education.
