Vale Max Gomez: Goodbye Is Not Forever – By Lawrence Machado

We grieve, and yet celebrate the rich life of our brother-in-law, Max Gomez, who was very special in our lives.
His life was full of faith even to the end, as he surrendered his earthly life to Jesus Christ, his Saviour. Max, true to form, did not let his cancer dictate his life and continued to do the things he loved, even teaching for a few hours when he could.
He used to say he would go when his God called him, not when the doctors said he had to go. That powerful faith and the amazing care from his family and hospital staff kept him going, especially through the last days.
Max, the son of the late Gabby and Mary Gomez, is survived by Belinda, children Marsha, Frayne and Anthea, siblings Ronald Gomez and Roshini Machado, sons-in-law David Pretty and Brayden Miller, grandchildren Nate, Zach, Mara and Nina, in-laws Nirmala Gomez, Rienzie Machado, Sally Grero, Veronica and Irwin Vaz, Lawrence and Roshan Machado, Fortuna and Victor Benjamin, nephew Neil Gomez, nieces Ronala, Renata, Rhazyl and Redinka, grandnephews and grandnieces. He is also mourned by his cousins, relatives, and friends across Australia and the world.
May the Holy Angels welcome our beloved Max into Heaven.
For as 2 Timothy 4:7 says: “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.”
And Jesus says in Matthew 25: “Well done, good and faithful servant.”
