Arpico Insurance PLC, has announced the appointment of Ramal Jasinghe as its new non-executive Chairman of the Board.
Effective 5 July, Jasinghe succeeded Viville Perera, who retired after serving as Chairman for several years.

Jasinghe brings with him an illustrious career spanning over 25 years in the Insurance industry. His journey began at Union Assurance, and he subsequently held prominent positions including Director/CEO at Asian Alliance Insurance and went on to serve at Fairfirst Insurance, leaving an indelible mark of excellence at each step of his career.
He holds an MBA from the University of Sri Jayewardenepura and is a distinguished Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Marketing, UK. Additionally, Ramal had his management training at Stanford University in California, USA and the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) in Ahmedabad, India. His commitment to continuous self-development is reflected in his current roles as Senior Ambassador of the Chartered Institute of Marketing, UK and his appointment to the Education Reforms Committee of the Sri Lanka Institute of Marketing (SLIM). Furthermore, he has served as the President of the Sri Lanka Insurance Association.
