Our Story

Blue Elephant Pennant Hills, launched in November 2007, is another canvas for Siva Kumaran to showcase his expertise as a hotelier. After studying at Cornell University in the United States, Siva gained hands-on experience at top hotel chains like InterContinental, Ramada Renaissance, and Hyatt Regency. He worked in Sydney and internationally, building a solid foundation in the industry.

Eventually, he acquired the Waldorf property and moved Blue Elephant from Crows Nest to Pennant Hills. Since then, the restaurant has become a household name for Sri Lankan cuisine and a standout function venue.

Launching into catering was the next step in the Blue Elephant dream, which Siva and his talented team divide in to with ease in 2002. Blue Elephant Catering has reached new heights by extending services as a total event managementteam. From the red carpet to table décor, Dancers to the music, food and drink the blue elephant team takes care of everything to make any function a dream come true.
