Can You Win at Online Slots - By alex larsens

Slot games are hugely popular. Whether you are a frequent customer of land-based or online casinos, you’ve certainly come across the pokies. These games have had immense success, and for very good reason. They are fun and they are very simple to get into.

However, many people have discussed the likelihood of winning at slots, particularly online slots. In fact, there are those who believe that it is impossible to win a prize at online slots. But, how much water does this statement hold? That is what we will explain in this article.

Winning at Online Slots

The first thing that we have to mention is that winning the jackpot at any slot, land-based or online, is immensely difficult. So much so, that many would say it is impossible. However, that doesn’t mean that getting a payout at a slot game is impossible.

In fact, there have been plenty of online games that have paid out over the years. We can look at the numerous Novibet pokies for example of slots that have had a history of payouts. However, it is also important to understand how slots work.

How to Win at Slots

The truth is that there is no way to actually win at slots. What we mean by that is that there is no strategizing when it comes to these games. All you can do is spin the reels and hope for the best. There is no strategy involved really, only luck.

This is because slots run on a random number generator software. Basically, the software produces random numbers with each spin, all of which are tied to different symbols. This ensures that the outcome is fully random, and neither developer nor player has control over it.

The randomness also ensures that there cannot be any sort of rigging on the part of the casino owners. The idea that “online slots are rigged” has died down recently, partly because people are becoming more aware of how these games work.

Notable Payouts

For those who are still unconvinced, perhaps you could benefit from a look at some of the biggest payouts in the history of online slots. One of which happened quite recently, in 2021. During a game of Mega Moolah, a lucky Belgian player managed to strike gold, and win over 18 million Euros, setting a new world record for the highest payout by an online slot game.

A similar thing happened in Finland in 2013. A Finnish player was enjoying a few rounds of online slots, until they hit the jackpot on the Mega Fortunes slot. The resulting payout was over 17 million Euros. At the time, this was the highest payout, and remained so until 2021, when the record was broken by the aforementioned player from Belgium.

Final Thoughts

Slots are unlikely to ever lose popularity. Pretty much since their inception, these machines have been incredibly popular. Now, with the availability of online slots, they are more popular than ever. And the good news is, online slots are just as trustworthy and generous as the land-based things.
