Creamy Potato Milk Toffee Recipe – By Malsha – eLanka

Potato milk Toffee

Potato Toffee, a beloved delicacy in Sri Lanka, transcends expectations with its divine taste and creamy texture. Don’t let any preconceived notions about potatoes deter you from experiencing the sheer delight of this Potato Milk Toffee. Here’s how to create this culinary masterpiece:

Ingredients:

  • 450g Sugar
  • 300g Boiled Potatoes
  • 1 tsp Vanilla
  • 400g Condensed Milk
  • Ground Cardamom
  • 1 ½ tbsp Butter

Method:

  1. Finely mash potatoes until no lumps remain.
  2. In a pan, combine mashed potatoes and sugar, stirring until the sugar thoroughly blends with the potatoes.
  3. Add condensed milk to the mixture and stir until well combined.
  4. Incorporate ground cardamom and vanilla, stirring continuously over low heat.
  5. As the mixture thickens, add butter, ensuring constant stirring.
  6. Once the mixture reaches a thick consistency and no longer sticks to the pan, turn off the heat.
  7. Flatten the mixture onto a wooden board or tray, allowing it to cool for 1-2 minutes. Be cautious not to let it cool excessively, as it may harden too much for slicing.
  8. Afterward, cut the toffee into desired pieces.
  9. Allow the toffee to cool completely before storing it in an airtight container.

Savor the creamy indulgence of Potato Milk Toffee, a sweet sensation that will leave you craving more.
