I take great pleasure in announcing the first concert for the year – an SNSR production – “Ek Shaam Lata Ke Naam” on SATURDAY 27h FEBRUARY 2016.
Lata Mangeshkar has been in the industry for over 70 years now and is the definitive ‘living legend’ of Bollywood. Her life and music will be brought to life on 27th February by two extraordinary voices from Sydney: Pushpa Jagadish andRucha Lange, backed up Sydney’s premier band JAZBA. I will be your host for the evening.
This year, the concert’s theme will feature songs recorded by Lata Mangeshkar with 24 top music composers of Bollywood. With each song, I will take you down memory lane, to refresh Lata Mangeshkar’s interactions with these music directors who influenced her career, with anecdotes about these immortal musical creations.
