“HERE STANDS THE SAVIOUR”

Jesus in Indonesia

Indonesia must know something that most other Countries do not.

The fact that they are primarily a Muslim Country matters not an iota.

Obviously, the Catholics of this Country have such an abundance of faith in Jesus Christ, they decided to erect a Statue of such magnificence, it boggles the mind.

I do have to admit that I am not a religious person, do not run to Church every Sunday, do not carry a Bible around quoting Scripture and Verse, but my beliefs are simple. There IS Only ONE GOD. The Universe around us was originally created by HIM. As a confirmed Roman Catholic, I firmly believe that God also created the Holy Trinity, God the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost.(Three Persons in One God).

We are ALL sinners on planet Earth.

Show me anyone who claims, not being a sinner, and I will show you a liar

Indonesia has to be praised and congratulated for this magnificent Statue of “THE KING OF KINGS” and God will bless them for this. In my own humble opinion, anyone who visits Indonesia, when next able to do so, should make it a point of going to the blessed feet of Jesus, kneeling down and thanking HIM for making their visit possible. Plagues of all sorts have been produced by Satan, from time to time, but JESUS CHRIST, THE SON OF GOD, HAS DONE IT BEFORE, AND WILL DO IT AGAIN, WHEN HE DEFEATS THE LATEST COVID 19 VIRUS, & SATAN AS WELL.

The World’s largest statue of Jesus is in a Muslim majority country !!

With a population exceeding 270 million, Indonesia is the world’s fourth-most populous country and the most populous Muslim-majority country.

Jesus Buntu Burake (Indonesian: Patung Yesus Kristus Memberkati, “Statue of Jesus Christ Blessing”) is a Roman Catholic statue of Jesus Christ at Makale, South Sulawesi, Indonesia. It is the tallest statue of Jesus Christ in the world – at 40 m (130 ft). With the pedestal it is 172 ft. It stands on the top of Buntu Burake hill about 1.100 metres above sea level.

The giant statue of Jesus Christ on Buntu Burake hill (Wisata Religi Buntu Burake or Patung Yesus Buntu Burake in Bahasa Indonesia), is an imposing testament to the Christian faith of modern-day Torajans, which was introduced in the early 20th century by Dutch missionaries. Sixty five percent of the population are Protestant and 17% are Roman Catholic, with the remainder being Muslims and the traditional religion of Torajan Hindu or Aluk Tu Dolo (Way of the Ancestors). Makale is the capital city of Tana Toraja Regency, South Sulawesi, Indonesia.
