KFC BBL|15 Schedule to Deliver a Star-Studded Summer of Showdowns

It is set to be a summer of showdowns in the KFC|BBL15 with the announcement today of a sizzling schedule for the upcoming season.
The League’s action-packed schedule will deliver:
An epic start to the season with historic rivalries, local derbies and a grand final rematch
An uninterrupted schedule of BBL every night, ensuring the Big Bash remains the heartbeat of summer
Six huge TV double headers including Boxing Day and New Year’s Day
Fan-favourite fixtures and marquee matches in every club’s home market
A blockbuster final week of the regular season and four-game finals series in a standalone window
A complete season before the end of the school holidays
Star-studded teams in every match with more big names taking part than ever before

The BBL|15 season will begin Sunday, December 14 when Pakistani superstar Babar Azam is set to make his Big Bash League debut for the Sydney Sixers against the Scorchers at Optus Stadium.
Every club will host a home match inside the competition’s first 10 days, highlighted by a grand final rematch between the Hurricanes and Thunder at Ninja Stadium on December 16, before the Sydney Smash at ENGIE Stadium on Saturday, December 20.
Sydney and Perth also become the focal point for the Boxing Day BBL double header, with the Sixers and Stars facing off at the SCG before the Scorchers and Hurricanes go head-to-head at Optus Stadium.
The Adelaide Strikers will welcome the Heat for their annual New Year’s Eve celebration, before 2026 starts in style with a New Year’s Day double header – first, the Renegades welcome the Sixers to Marvel Stadium, before the Hurricanes take on the Scorchers in Hobart.
The celebrations will continue at the Gabba on Friday, January 2 when the Heat host their annual New Year game against the Stars.
Melbourne Stars and Renegades will also face off in their hotly anticipated Derbies in the New Year, with a 6:05pm start time locked in for an MCG blockbuster on Sunday, January 4.

A mouth-watering final week of regular season matches could have major implications ahead of the Finals and feature some of Australia’s biggest names.
Four clubs will each host matches outside their primary venues – the Renegades will again begin their season at GMHBA Stadium, Geelong, the Sixers will return to C.ex Coffs International Stadium, Coffs Harbour, while both the Stars and Thunder will host a match at Corroboree Group Manuka Oval, Canberra.
The 40 regular season matches will run uninterrupted from December 14 to January 18, except for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. The BBL|15 Finals series will feature four matches from Tuesday, January 20, culminating in the Final on Sunday, January 25.
Every BBL|15 match will once again be aired on Kayo Sports and Foxtel, including 10 matches exclusive to Fox Cricket.
While 30 regular season matches and every final will be shown live and free on Seven and 7plus.
