I was invited with my nephew and niece to the Rehabilitation Hospital in Digana, Kandy, Sri Lanka, on an evening a project to entertain disabled patients was organized, and to me, it was a valuable experience. It is important to consider this
option if you or a loved one requires rehabilitation services. The hospital offers a range of programs and services to help individuals regain their independence and improve their quality of life. By taking advantage of the resources available at the
Rehabilitation Hospital, you can receive the support and care needed to achieve your recovery goals. So, if you are in need of rehabilitation services, consider visiting the Rehabilitation Hospital in Digana, Kandy, Sri Lanka.

We were most taken up with the friendly staff, including the nursing sisters, administrators how dedicated these people are to making these disabled people young and old, men and women happy and a worthwhile life to lead.

Most of the inmates were spinal injury patients due to road accidents and traumatic falls from heights, and others due to spinal conditions like transverse myelitis of the spine, and multiple sclerosis, among others.

The hospital buildings were well maintained unlike most other government centres, and the cleanliness of the place was unsurpassable.

Now, lets walk in and enjoy the fun. Disability, in everyday thought, is associated with failure, dependency and not being able to do things. We feel sorry for disabled people because we imagine it must be miserable to be disabled. But in fact, we’re wrong. It’s sometimes called the “disability paradox”.
