A young tiger, often called a cub, is a creature full of energy and curiosity. At birth, it weighs around 1 to 1.5 kg and is blind for the first few days. It stays close to its mother, who fiercely nurtures and protects it. As it grows, around 2 to 3 months old, it begins to explore its surroundings and mimic its mother’s hunting behaviors.

The young tiger quickly learns to stalk, pounce, and hunt small prey. Its striped fur provides perfect camouflage to blend into the vegetation, while playing with its siblings helps it hone its predatory skills. Between 18 months and 2 years old, it becomes more independent but often stays with its mother until it is ready to establish its own territory.
