The people who give you their food give you their heart. – Cesar Chavez A majestic island boasting eight UNESCO World Heritage sites, herds of roaming  elephants, pristine tea plantations and idyllic sun-kissed beaches, Sri Lanka or As it was once known, Ceylon has so much to offer the discerning traveler.

It is the perfect destination to take in the rich historical sites, go on game drives and combine with some relaxation on the glorious beaches. This is an extract from OASIS the Travel. Experiences.

Sri Lanka welcomed over 120,000 tourists for the first 27 days of July, surpassing the 100,000-arrival milestone for the sixth time in the first seven months of the year. SLTDA data showed that from 1 to 27 July,

One hundred twenty-three thousand five hundred-eight international visitors entered the country.

Nimal Bandara, the Ambassador for Israel, initiated a new form of diplomacy to lure one’s traditional foods of a country to visit and enjoy a holiday. The project was straightforward, with much thinking and planning.

The theme was-The destination is Sri Lanka. When the soon-to-be opening of the direct line between Israel and Sri Lanka, the Embassy of Sri Lanka, in collaboration with the Nimal Bandara Chamber of
Commerce and the Ambassador for Israel, organised Asia, a royal feast held at the residence of the Sri Lankan Ambassador to Israel.

He states, “Presenting the quality of food-related to the culture of the respective countries using culinary methods and methods unique to each country is one of the aspects of diplomacy.

The project was to have a food festival inviting Israeli tourism professionals and was given 32 famous cuisines of Sri Lanka. When Kings in Sri Lanka were invited for a meal, 32 dishes were laid out on the table as a mark of respect to the king, and thus, 32 dishes were served at this event to participants who enjoyed the abundance, colour and excellent taste. The ambassador blessed the participants and even said some dishes were prepared with his hands.

Participated by representatives of the tourism community, airport authority, ministry of foreign affairs, journalists, businesspersons, board members of the chamber of commerce, representatives of Fighters Without Borders, and Friends of Sri Lanka.

Whoever wants a natural and luxurious vacation should run to book places on the upcoming flights.
The pictures will make you want it, the ambassador mentioned. A similar culinary project was organized in Israel in November 2017. Israel is approximately 5,400 Km away from Sri Lanka.

In recent years, Israel has shown increasing attention to Sri Lanka as a unique tropical destination in the Indian Ocean with great surfing locations like Miami Beach (USA) and Jaws, Maui-Hawaii. Already, a plane load of Israeli tourists are expected on the island.

The ambassador also mentioned that Several of the present Israelis expressed their desire to learn Sri Lankan cooking, so I hope to offer them a workshop on preparing our food.

Europe emerged as the primary source of tourists visiting Sri Lanka, accounting for 66.1% of total arrivals. It is believed that pent-up demand from countries such as the Russian Federation, UK, Germany, France and Israel contributed to this increase in tourism.

You would have heard much about Sri Lanka in 2022; only some of it would have been good. This country went through a turbulent period of political upheaval, with critical shortages of food, fuel and electricity, and many travel plans had to be cancelled because of it.

But today, the scenario is more optimistic, with no food, fuel and electricity shortages.

Things are looking up for Sri Lanka: a new government has stabilized the economy, and life has begun returning to normal..

Sri Lanka now attracts over 100,000 monthly tourists, and the future is more positive. All-star hotels are fully booked for the December season, and a beneficial harvest is anticipated.

This is great news for Sri Lanka, the economy, and potential first and repeat visitors. Those who love this country can support it through tourism; the experience is the same as it always was.

The food is still incredible, the cultural sites excellent, and the likes of Galle and Kandy as charming as they ever were. Within a day, you could visit places from a hot city like Colombo to mildly mid-country like Kandy or feel the chilly cold climate as in Nuwara Eliya, in the hills.

This video presentation shows us our optimistic future regarding the tourists’ industry.

Stay safe, and goodbye for now.

“The most beautiful island in the world” – that’s what Marco Polo is said to have, called Sri Lanka at one time. The natural Jewel south of India is also unique from a culinary point of view.
