“WALKING UNDEAD” by Des Kelly

     It is bad enough to watch the “dead” on television, almost every day, now they try to portray people who, unfortunately,

died, in the past, most, due to circumstances entirely beyond their control, “get-up”, “get-out”, and walk the Streets again, only to get “mowed-down” by some  “hit & run” driver.

     I have written, many times, that I prefer the A.B.C. for my television “entertainment” because I don’t have to watch stupid “ads” like this “costumed” guy, jumping out and offering people “fast cash” for some idiotic settlement of any foolish mistake made. It wouldn’t be so bad if it was a good-looking “Witch”, coming in on her broomstick, to offer the “cash”. There have been many of these witches, but they are featured on the “Commercial T.V.Stations.

     I always “say it as it is” &, as much as I still “watch” Channel 2 , most of the time, I am getting irritated with the fact that their “News” is “repeated” over & over again, as my you’tube “clip” on this story, done especially for eLanka readers everywhere, says.. “Repeats” are alright, “Aunty” , but try not to repeat these repeats, two or three DAYS after the original news has been televised. Lots of our Lankans may not be watching you, Aunty, but I am, and I expect to see some “breaking news” now and again, even if you have to “break” your news broadcasts to give us some diversity.

     Back to the “Walking Dead”, the “Undead” or the ” soon to be dead” fad, regarding “Zombies”, What the hell are we doing here ?. On top of all the despots who now wish to wipe-out all “enemies” & cause all of them to be “dead” for real, we are forced to “watch” these ‘fake-dead” “actors” do their thing (on Channel 2, if you please) It is 8 am on Friday, the 9th of Feb., and I am watching two lovely ladies, Virginia & Dell, interviewing two proud zombies for quite a few minutes. I don’t blame these “actors”. They are only in it for the money they earn. No “grave-yard” shifts for them, BUT, is this what one has to do nowadays to be featured on television ?. Does one have to be a zombie or an ex-crim.,

to be featured on “the box”?. Come on, Australia, and most especially Aunty A.B.C., there is enough misery in this World today without “The walking undead” being raved about. There is enough “Syrian Strife” around without us being bombarded continually with what is happening there. There is quite enough publicity about the North Korean leader. 

Who wants to see HIM at the winter Olympics?. I am happy that his sister will represent them. She is much better looking. I also have to admit that I am rather fond of the hats worn by their “Officers” there. The size alone goes to show how egotistical this mob is. What they are carrying on their heads, under their caps, is anybody’s guess.

    Coming back to the T.V. Managements in Australia. Enough is enough. There is plenty of “Entertainment” available that will make viewers want to watch (& enjoy) more television . Give us more “happy” shows, “Musicals”,

” GOOD British Comedy”, stuff that will lift the spirits up

Please give us T.V. that we would like to watch & enjoy

                          “Over & over again”.   Thank you.
