Remains of Visharada Neela Wickramasinghe flown in from Milan cremated at Kanatta – by Sunil Thenabadu

Sunil-ThenabaduVisharada Neela Wicramasinghe who succumbed to a sudden heart attach on the17th of this month having taken over duties as Sri Lanka’s Consulate General in Milan,Italy.

The remains after some deliberation between the Foreign Ministries of the two countries her remains in a closed coffin was flown in to Sri Lanka on Thursday night the 27th instant.The remains were laid before cremation at her residence in Pepiliyana. After conducting religious observations her remains were cremated in a specially made huge “CHITHAKAYA” amid her songs been played over the public address system at the Borella Kanatte on Saturday evening the 29th instant,amidst a large gathering of friends, relatives ,artistes and fans.State honors were accorded with recorded speeches by the Prime Minister , several dignitaries and reputed artistes.

May She attain Supreme Bliss of Nirvanna,the journey through be sansaric circle be short and swift.
