Covid-19 claims 71 more lives

Director General of Health Services (DGHS) last night reported that Covid-19 claimed the lives of 71 persons. With that the total number of deaths rose to 2,704, the DGHS stated.

State Minister Prof. Channa Jayasumana responsible for procurement of Covid-19 vaccines said that in spite of some shortcomings the inoculation drive was continuing in several parts of the country. Sri Lanka would receive two million more doses of Sinopharm vaccines during the first week of July, he added.
