Decibel is a mix of mature and young skilful musicians in Perth, WA, playing a fantastic range of music from 60’s & 70’s classics through to some current hits with sheer professionalism. Their dedication and commitment give them an edge in this competitive music scene.
With Decibel, you can expect high-quality vocals and mastery of their instruments. The group never fails to capture and engage their audience to make it a memorable event. They specifically target corporate, weddings, anniversaries and private functions and set up the perfect musical stage to take your event to the next level.
The line up comprises Dwight Van Gramberg (lead vocals), Sherwin Peries (bass guitar/vocals), Peter Tonon (lead guitar/Bvs), Holly Harrison (keyboards), Gazza Peries (drums/vocals) and Binx Noble (lead vocals).
Sri-Lankan born Dwight Van Gramberg has been in the music industry since 1969, age 11, having had an early start while at St Peter’s College, Colombo as a member of the Junior Rhythmiers, the first boy band on the island and followed by stints with The Pioneers and Mary.
Since then, Dwight has had a few career changes, but has always stayed true to his musical leanings. He immigrated to Australia in June 1982.
Dwight is The Frontman, but has intermediate piano capability. He is known as the local Elton John to many Sri Lankans, being such a wonderful impersonator of the music legend who he has idolised from the early 70’s. Wherever the gig may be, there is bound to be a request for an EJ song for him to cover.
Dwight said they have played around Perth Metro and its outskirts for many years and are always adding to their repertoire to freshen their playlist.
“It’s exciting times for our group because all of us have been around the music scene for many years and have forged a strong bond “. “We are passionate about music, simply enjoy and love what we do.”
“We have standard rates for all events, with higher booking fees during Christmas, New Year’s Eve and Easter. We also love to play the occasional country event and enjoy the easy camaraderie at these venues.”
