Avijit Sarkar in support of Nautanki Theater Presents “Saaz-e-Dil”
I take great pleasure in announcing a concert in support of Nautanki Theater – “Saaz-e-Dil” on SAT 19th MAY at Riverside Theater, Parramatta.
After last year’s successful ‘Melodies For Art’ production, “Classical Songs from Bollywood”, this year we are producing a concert that binds the romanticism of Bollywood together with the spoken word. I will be joined by three of the most sought-after voices in Sydney – Sydney’s premier vocalist Srijani Dan, the legendary Pakistani actor Uzma Gillani and the voice of Sydney, Kumud Merani.
We will be backed up by some of the finest acoustic musicians in Sydney:
Abhijit Dan (Tabla, Percussion)
Sadiq Rehmani (Guitar)
Emanuel Leiberfreund (English flute and saxophone)
Indranil Chowdhury (Indian bamboo flute)
Together, we will present some of the best Bollywood romantic songs from yesteryears interspersed with recitations and dialogues; a unique concept that brings together music, poetry, and verse under one creative umbrella.
