Film, Tele artistes, Vocalists assembled for a Bak Maha Ulela cum musical extravaganza In Dubai – By Sunil Thenabadu

We are all in boundless anticipation of many ‘Bak Maha” events during this period. All are in expectation of procedures to be organized to celebrate this event. It was the other day with the participation of some artistes who portrayed roles in films, teledramas, reputed vocalists who have mesmerized audiences in indoor, outdoor musical shows a ‘Bak Maha Ulela” celebration event was held at the Etisalat Academy Leisure Club playground in the kingdom of Dubai to a packed audience.
The event was named as the “Sanhida Bakmaha Asiriya” was a resounding success in entertaining the audience filled mostly with our expatriate residents. Those who entertained in singing, dancing etc were Tina Shanel, Upeksha Swarnamali, Nirosha Thalagala, Piyumi Hansamali, Rangi Rajapakse, Mihira Sirithilaka, Sangeeth Prabuth etc..

The musical backing was by the Sunflower band headed by Neil Warnakulasuriya while vocals were sung by many artistes some of who were Noel Raj, Madumadawa Aravinda, Indunil Andaramana, Dimanka Wellalage. These artistes brought a delightful fascination to the ‘Sanhinda Bakmaha Asiriya’.The responsibility of organizing this massive event fell in the hands of the creative Director of M/s A.N Entertainments Anil Prasanga who with his capable aptitude coordinated to precision to make this event a roaring success.
As in any other traditional Bakmaha Ulela’s the conservative games were held with Mihira Sirithilaka and Anil Prasanga taking the initiative in umpiring many games like ‘Aliyata Esa Thabeema’ etc. Many confessed to M/s A/N Entertainment’s creative Director Anil Prasanga that it was exceptional experience to the members of the audience all domiciled in Dubai.. This and other traditional games hereditary to Sri Lankans thrilled those in the Dubai Kingdom who congregated in their numbers at the venue.
Film, Tele actress ,dancer and vocalist Tina Shanel thanked Anil Prasanga the creative Director of M/S A.N Entertainments on behalf of the rest of the crew for this rare opportunity afforded to entertain the families of migrant workers in the Kingdom of Dubai. She added that an opportunity like this for her is more valuable than money, the love of people is what she had earned. Upeksha Swarnamali who had been born in Kuwait brought up there feels how these expatriate people feel to a large degree, hence this event is appreciated highly by her had felt elated to tall elevations. Both did not hesitate to compliment Anil Prasanga for shouldering the entire burden in his role as the creative Director in successfully completing this task which was executed meticulously. A huge bouquet should be given to the Sri Lanka Rupavahini Corporation, competent senior presenter famous for ‘Sihinayaki Re” Mahesh Nissanka in hosting the show to precision.
