HEADLINE – Siddhalepa Supirivicky Toothpaste Leads the Way in Oral Health Awareness Across Sri Lanka

Siddhalepa 1

Siddhalepa Supirivicky, a popular choice for adults and children, is widely available today. This toothpaste is made from a blend of nine herbs: Clove, Goraka, Katu Karandu, Aralu, Velmee, Moona Mal Pothu, Black Pepper, Cinnamon, and Pila Mul. It is also the first toothpaste in the country to be patented.

The toothpaste is manufactured in full compliance with the SLS 275 standard specifications. It offers a range of oral health benefits, including strengthening teeth, controlling plaque, preventing gum disease, and eliminating bad breath. Additionally, it highlights the effectiveness of natural remedies.

The University of Würzburg in Germany has scientifically confirmed that Supirivicky, through Siddhalepa, a name trusted for over ninety years, provides fluoride-like protection (Reduction of clinical signs of gingival inflammation and plaque growth).

Since last year, Siddhalepa has been conducting a series of oral health awareness programs across Sri Lanka through their acclaimed brand of toothpaste. Starting as a short-term initiative, Supiriwicky, with its team of Ayurveda experts, conducted these programs in schools and government and private organisations island-wide. Having observed the growing need and demand for conducting further programs, the company has made it a continuous activity to carry out in more locations.

Through these sessions, participants gain valuable insights into maintaining good oral hygiene, best practices, and common dental care misconceptions. Here are some of the points discussed –

  • The importance of brushing teeth: Brushing twice daily, once in the morning and once at night, is crucial for maintaining oral hygiene and protecting teeth from diseases like tooth decay and gum disease.
  • Brushing at least twice a day: Especially after meals and before bed, it is essential to brush your teeth using a toothbrush and toothpaste. This simple habit is highly effective in preserving oral health by significantly reducing the clinical signs of gingival inflammation and plaque growth. This helps maintain a healthy and beautiful smile.

The programmes emphasise the importance of proper oral hygiene while actively contributing to the overall health of the Sri Lankan people. To further encourage healthy habits, every attendee receives Supirivicky toothpaste, allowing them to immediately apply what they have learned after the session.

“The primary objective of this initiative is to elevate the oral health standards of Sri Lankans while reinforcing Siddhalepa Supirivicky’s commitment to the well-being of the community. With over 90 years of trusted experience in Ayurveda, they continue to serve by offering high-quality, natural health solutions,” said Asoka Hettigoda, Chairman of Hettigoda Group of Companies.

This campaign not only raises awareness but also strengthens the perception of Siddhalepa Supirivicky as a brand dedicated to giving back to society. By educating individuals and providing them with the necessary tools to maintain oral health, the brand solidifies its role as a trusted companion in the daily lives of Sri Lankans.
