Josephians celebrate their College Feast – Photos thanks to George Rupesinghe

Once again the New South Wales Josephians, families, friends and well-wishers gathered to celebrate their College Feast and enjoy the fellowship of friends on Saturday 17 March. This time at the community centre at West Pennant Hills. And once again they were fortunate in having the chaplain to the Sri Lankan community in New South Wales and prefect of games at College, Father Chaminda Wanigasena, as the celebrant. A feature of the well-attended Mass was the fervent participation and singing of the hymns.

The prayers by Kumar Eliyathamby, Dylan Tavarayen, Romel Pieris and Eddie Correra gave thanks and remembered the past Rectors and teachers together with the present staff of the College. Young and old celebrated birthdays and the company of friends.

The dinner catered by Dish tickled more than a few tastebuds and earned some plaudits. The music by Pius Miranda had the dance floor tapping to familiar tunes. The customary rendition of the College Anthem was great testimony of the fellowship generated on the evening.
