River Terrace at Fed Square will be brimming with Sri Lankan atmosphere on Saturday 25 November from 9.00 am onwards with Lankan Fest 2023 supported by the Victorian Multicultural Commission and the City of Melbourne.

The sights, sounds and spectacular dance moves of this exotic ‘Culture of Wonders’ emanating from a land often called the Pearl of the Indian Ocean – Sri Lanka – visitors will experience a cultural explosion of ethnic diversity right in the heart of Melbourne overlooking the Yarra River.

Exotic cuisine, cultural dance, entertainment, and a touch of Sri Lanka will be on display with Melburnians invited to taste the magic of this tiny island nation and its own rich, ethnic diversity at our city’s cultural and community heart – Fed Square.

Featuring a variety of Sri Lankan food, arts, crafts, spices, tea, produce as well as promoting an array of delightful tourism options, Lankan Fest 2023 is a celebration of the culture and heritage of Sri Lanka.

Say “Ayubowan” and learn how to drape a sari; treat your taste buds to a lunch of hoppers (a Sri Lankan egg pancake) or explore the magic of the island for your next overseas adventure.
