COMMUNITY INFORMATION LIVERPOOL LIBRARY Thinking of becoming an Australian Citizen? Come along in preparation for Australian Citizenship Test Friday, 4 August 2023 – Friday, 6 October 2023 | 10am – 12pm | Liverpool General Free course at Liverpool City Library facilitated by Navitas Skilled Futures. Arabic bilingual support is available. Preparation for the Citizenship test includes learning about Australia and its people, understanding what it means to become an Australian citizen, gaining knowledge about the government and law in Australia, and practising taking the test. Navitas Skilled Futures provides free educational opportunities through the Adult Migrant English Program (AMEP) for eligible customers. The course is designed for customers with higher English proficiency, while those with very low-level English may be referred to an English for Citizenship class at Navitas Skilled Futures instead of the citizenship class at the library. TaxHelp at Liverpool City Library Friday, 04 August 2023 – Friday, 08 September 2023 | 12pm – 2:30pm | Liverpool | General Another financial year is completed and its tax time again! Work with an ATO volunteer to complete your tax return at Liverpool City Library this August & September. Book in and have an ATO Tax Volunteer assist you in completing your tax return online through My Gov. To be eligible for Tax Help customers must meet these criteria: Bring 3 or more identification documents for verification. Have a MyGov account linked to the ATO; and earned less than $60,000 in the financial year A complete list of Tax Help requirements can be found on the ATO Website – please ensure you meet the requirements before booking.
