Obituary notice – Dr Channa Wijesinghe

We have received the sad news of the passing away of Dr Channa Wijesinghe last Sunday the 18th of September 2022.
Channa was a highly respected Old Royalist who was on the Committee of the RCOBAA and served a term as President. Later he was awarded a Life Membership for unbroken membership years and his strong support to the RCOBAA.
Dr Channa Wijesinghe won the Rupasinghe scholarship at Royal College. He was the foundation professor in psychiatry in Colombo University. He later migrated to Australia and was the Associate Professor of Psychiatry at Monash University and a board member of the Medical Board of Victoria.
His funeral will be on Saturday 24th September at 11.30 am at the Boyd Chapel, Springvale Cemetery.
